The International Youth Forum (IYF) is a global platform that empowers young leaders to engage in discussions and actions on critical global issues, such as human rights, sustainable development, peace, and innovation. It brings together youth delegates, policymakers, and experts from around the world to exchange ideas, shape policies, and foster international cooperation. Through the IYF, young people play a crucial role in influencing global development and governance, ensuring their voices are heard in shaping the future.

It serves as a platform for youth leaders, activists, policymakers, and experts from across the globe to exchange ideas, share experiences, and develop strategies to promote human rights and advance the SDGs. Participants include youth delegates alongside officials and advocates from around the world who are dedicated to the promotion of SDGs and human rights. Since its inception in 2017, the summit has evolved into a key platform for fostering international partnerships and building lasting friendships among delegates from over 90 countries. Ministers, legislators, United Nations officials, ambassadors, human rights advocates, and leaders from the non-profit sector also actively participate, enriching the discussions and collaborative efforts.

Sustainable Development Council

The Sustainable Development Council (SDC) is an international non-profit organization with Special Consultative Status with the United Nations ECOSOC since 2021. The SDC’s mission is to inspire, encourage, and facilitate the creation of a global network of Sustainable Development Councils, where businesses, NGOs, policymakers, civil society, and the general public can collaborate to achieve the SDGs. The SDC is committed to inclusivity, accessibility, and ethical practices, striving to promote unity, respect, success, and sustainability. It works to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the realization of the SDGs.

Objectives of International Youth Forum

  • To Increase the participation of young people and youth organizations in society, as well as in decision-making processes.
  • To Promote the exchange of ideas and experience, mutual understanding, as well as the equal rights and opportunities among young people
  • Uphold intercultural understanding, democracy, respect, diversity, human rights, active citizenship, and solidarity;
  • To Contribute to the development of youth work in other regions of the world.
  • To Positively influence policy issues affecting young people and youth organizations, by being a recognized partner for international institutions, namely the European Union, the Council of Europe, the United Nations, Commonwealth and African Union and Etc.,
  • To impart education about human rights & Sustainable Development Goals to the youth for peace, tolerance and cooperation;
  • To Promote the concept of youth policy as an integrated and cross-sectoral element of overall policy development, namely through youth mainstreaming;
  • To Facilitate the participation of young people through the development of sustainable and independent youth organizations at the national and international level, particularly in respect to ensuring dependable, adequate funding for them;
  • To empower youth to enable them to realize their rights & responsibilities through education, on Human Rights & Sustainable Development Goals awareness by collective action;
  • To promote a common understanding, based on international instruments, of basic principles and methodologies for human rights & education;
  • To raise an informative generation on the current situation of youth and human rights conflicts with anticipated behaviour adaptation and consequently admission to decision making amongst youth;
  • To foster youth action towards implementation of ideas brought forward by the young people for the benefit of the societies
